Akropolis Grill in Bodenwerder

Greeks without usable gyros, a very rare thing that a grill plate with gyros is a grill plate with shredded chicken. I've never seen it in a Greek restaurant that instead of crispy pork you get limp poultry! Above all, it is not visible on the menu. Even if the service is nice and reasonably attentive and the prices are not overpriced, I will not eat there again. This recession refers to the status of October 2020, and on the menu it was not evident that gyros consists exclusively of any kind of poultry! It can now be found on the website's menu as a hint.

We went here after our motorcycle tour and wanted to eat nice. The staff: relatively competent and friendly. Food: the gyros had nothing to do with gyros. It was just chicken meat which was very, very similar to doner meat. It was very greasy. If it were a kebab shop, the meat would be good. But still too greasy. Location: very nice surroundings, but a bit dingy inside but not dirty. Toilets are very narrow and small but actually clean. Not again.

That was the worst gyros we have ever eaten. Dreadful taste and just greasy. French fries were mushy. Never again. Just disgusting.

Food came quickly, but it was sometimes quite dry. No corona notes. Service ran around despite mouth and nose protection and nose free. Bill was wrong. House plate and a special € 17.80. Unfortunately noticed too late.

Greek vacation in the middle of Bodenwerder! What more do you want? Sufficient distance from the next table, friendly, familiar faces around you, an always attentive and smiling Sylwia (landlady) and the smell of Nico's grill magic in the nose? What is missing? Exactly something really delicious right in front of your nose! Even if I love the gyros from the Akropolis Grill, today it had to be the lamb chops and a saganaki (breaded feta cheese) beforehand. Tasty is not an expression at all. The best thing to do is to eat it yourself, then you will know why I like to vacation in Bodenwerder (but only 12 months a year)!

Nothing special. The food was good, but the very young staff could be more attentive. Here you don't notice the Greek hospitality. We sat in front of our empty plates for a long time, although the staff was standing at the bar and chatting lively. The grill / the restaurant were not full! Also, there was no request for further orders (another drink, etc.) or whether it was tasty. The obligatory ouzo to say goodbye or to go with the bill was also not available.

The best Greek in and around Bodenwerder. The food is always delicious and the service is always very friendly. Highly recommended, 5 stars from us.
